For most businesses, 2020 and 2021 were challenging years to say the least.
At Music base our Edinburgh Rehearsal room business was inevitably forced to shut in order to comply with the legal requirements of the Scottish Government. And then just as we started picking up a head of steam…… we would be shut down again! And again!
To keep ahead of the force that was coronavirus., we invested heavily in making sure that our facilities were covid ready, by installing air conditioning units in every rehearsal room, separation screens throughout the building and allowing cleaning periods between bands using the studio rooms.
Slowly but surely we are on a trajectory towards pre-pandemic levels and with a new start we are delighted to introduce new Management in the form of the formidable Robbie Finlayson. He joins Lesley Wilson in the Spilt Milk Coffee/Music Base management dream team.
Robbie has already overseen a fantastic upgrade of our Edinburgh rehearsal rooms and will this month embark on the improvement of our toilet facilities.
We are also aiming to offset the rise of energy costs (and global warming of course!) by embarking on a more energy efficient energy usage directive.
We will soon be advertising 2 spaces in our permanent rehearsal rooms for bands/artists looking for unlimited rehearsal time, plus also availability ion our storage lockers for bands looking to store equipment full time at Music Base. If you want to know any more please contact Robbie at musicbasepayments@gmail.com.
And finally we have spent a lot of time improving our website and you can view it here
We continue to be proud to be a partner of Rockschool and the Academy of Music and Sound as their preferred rehearsal/examination facility
It’s great to see familiar faces return to the building, we are so thankful and appreciate your support and love.
From the Music Base team x
